Sometimes you can plan out everything you're going to make, but some of the best decor ideas come spontaneously when you're setting up and see something in the space that you can incorporate into the design. In this case it was a wonderful existing garden statue that served as the perfect focal point to greet partygoers. We gave her a bundle of helium balloons and strung up some handmade fabric bunting in the party's colors. She held what I think may have been my favorite party detail - "popcorn" flower arrangements made from white and yellow carnations.
What else would we have at a county fair party than good old-fashioned fair favorites? I did make some adaptions to simplify the food-prep and keep the kitchen from smelling like a deep-fryer!

And of course any self respecting fair needs rides! You can't go wrong with a bounce house at a kid party!
